Email Updates for January 29
All faculty, staff, and most adjunct email accounts have been migrated
For Adjunct Faculty not yet migrated, email is being delivered to your “new” mailbox accessed via Faculty/Staff/Student Email link on the MySAU portal. When the migration is complete, your past email will also appear in your “new” mailbox.
If you were using the Outlook program to view your email prior to the migration, you can continue to use Outlook to access your email after being migrated. Instructions are found here
All Rooms and ‘generic’ email accounts (like email@example.com) have been migrated
If you need to access a generic email account through your Outlook, instructions are found below:
If you are a room approver, please email firstname.lastname@example.org with your name and the rooms for which you are the approver.
Migrating Shared Calendars
We are currently working to migrate all Shared Calendars.
Fixing Email ‘Undeliverable’ errors
If you are emailing other faculty or staff and are getting “Undeliverable” errors, please follow these steps before calling the Help Desk.
- Open Outlook
- Click on the orange File tab
- Click on the options button on the left
- Click on the mail tab
- Scroll down and look for the “Empty Auto-Complete List” button. Click it.
- Click “Yes” on the confirmation dialog box.
