Network Storage
It seems an inevitable part of being a student to lose data. Back in the day it was corrupt floppy drives. Today flash drives are so small they’re easy to lose. And no matter how careful you are, it seems everyone has written over a paper at some point in their lives.
Well, at SAU we want to make it so you don’t have to worry about your data. When your student account is created, you automatically receive 250 MB of storage on our servers. That storage is backed up nightly and stored both on and off campus so in case of emergency there’s always a copy.
To access your storage, simly log on to any SAU computer with your network username and password. Whether the computer is wired or wireless, it should connect to your network share automatically. On a Windows PC, you’ll see it mapped to your F: drive. On a Mac, it will show up in your dock.
