Printing Services at Regional Sites

Printing Overview

Need to print that document that you forgot for class? Every regional site has a public computer area equipped with a printer for just that purpose. To print, simply log in to any public computer with your SAU username and password. Bring up your document (from a disk or flash drive) and print from the appropriate program.

Troubleshooting Tips

If you have trouble printing, there are several easy steps to try to get things working.

  • Check the printer for error messages such as paper jam or low toner.
  • Check the paper supply.
  • If the printer is low on either toner or paper, request assistance from a regional site staff member for supplies.
  • Check the default printer. Public computers may also print to the staff printer located in the regional site. Check this location for any missing documents. If the default is set to the staff printer, see the instructions below to correct it.

Changing the Default Printer

To change the default printer, follow these simple steps:

  • Go to the Start Menu, then click on Printer and fax.
  • Right-click on the correct printer (the name is usually the model number of the printer) and click default printer.
