Minimum Computer Requirements

In order to ensure a successful computing experience at SAU, Technology Services recommends your computer hardware and software meet the following minimum requirements. All software requirements are available via for download or purchase by clicking the links.

Microsoft Windows-based computers

Operating System: Windows XP, Service Pack 2

Hardware: Pentinum 2 or higher with 256MB RAM

Internet browser options:

Media Player: QuickTime 7.5

Productivity suite: Microsoft Office

iTunes: SAU partners with Apple to deliver both public and academic audio and video content through iTunesU. This service uses Apple’s iTunes software.

Macintosh OSX-based computers

Operating System: OSX 10.5 (Leopard) or 10.4 (Tiger)

Hardware: G5 or Intel-based chipset with 256MB RAM
