Thanks, Nate. This is great. Question, do you have a video (or other information) that shows instructors how to submit student work, originally submitted as an “item,” into safe assign?

Hey Clint, great question. I don’t think we have a screencast on that process, but I would be happy to talk you through it here. If I am hearing you correctly, you would like to run a paper through SafeAssign after it has already been submitted as a normal assignment, correct?
You can submit any paper to SafeAssign as long as it is in Word format, so for starters download the student’s paper to your computer. Next, go to the blue Course Management section of your course, then click on “Course Tools,” then “SafeAssign.”
Next, click on “DirectSubmit” then the big “+” sign in the center of the page. Follow the on-screen prompts to attach the student’s work and within an hour or two you will have a completed SafeAssign report.
