New Databases: A-Z World Travel; CQ Global; CQ Researcher
Four new databases will be especially useful to CORE 274/275 and CORE 200 students and others needing up-to-date information on
social and economic issues facing various countries.
A-Z World Travel provides current information in the fields of culture, travel, language, trade, business, logistics,
security, and communication for 202 world cities.
CQ Global features two articles each month on critical world issues. Recent articles include “Rising Tension over Iran”
and “Organ Trafficking”.
CQ Researcher has been available in the Reference section of the Library, but is now available as an online searchable database.
It is noted for its in-depth, unbiased coverage of health, social trends, criminal justice, international
affairs, education, the environment, technology, and the economy.
Global Road Warrior Provides international travelers with information on 175 countries. Topics include country facts, climate, society & culture, demographics, money and banking, points of interest, transportation, maps, communications, and more

PsychINFO (ProQuest) Psychology and related fields since 1887. Some Full-Text.
Social Science Journals (ProQuest) Search full-text periodicals covering the social sciences.
Social Work Abstracts Social Work Abstracts offers extensive coverage of more than 450 social work and human services journals dating back to 1965. Produced by the National Association of Social Workers (NASW), the database provides indexing and abstracts dealing with all aspects of the social work field, including theory and practice, areas of service and social issues and problems.
