Tennessine

Element #117 is Tennesine, so named because it was discovered by a joint effort which included Oak Ridge National Laboratory in Tennessee. In honor of the state for which this element is named, we have placed a figure of Davy Crocket, an American frontiersman who served in the U.S. House of Representatives for the state of Tennessee.
