Flute Ensemble is designed to provide music instruction through chamber music performance.
The class is open to music majors and non-music majors who are interested in strengthening their skills on the flute.
Individuals should have previous playing experience or should contact Dr. Marissa Olin, the instructor, to determine readiness.
Students may audit or receive credit for this course. Class times are arranged and meet one hour weekly.
Members of the ensemble will study a variety of music from the Classical, folk, sacred, and popular genres.
Throughout the semester, the flute ensemble will perform in venues both on-campus and off-campus, including the SAU Chamber Music Concert, Hanging of the Greens, Talents for Christ, and the Arbor Oaks retirement home.
The Flute Ensemble is directed by Dr. Marissa Olin
