W.A.V.E.  – Worship Arts Vespers Experience

Each month during the semester, worship arts and worship ministry majors
gather on one Wednesday night to worship in a creative ‘ancient-future’
venue.  Worship Arts Ensemble class students plan the service around
scriptures from the Revised Common Lectionary, in conjunction with the
Church Year.  Based on a ‘Word and Table’ model, service elements
frequently also include video, drama, dance and art.W.A.V.E. banner

Musical styles vary
across the spectrum, from acoustic bluegrass to strings and brass, from a
cappella drum circle through acoustic guitars to full contemporary rock
band. Each service is uniquely focused around the theme derived from that
month’s scriptures.

The W.A.V.E. services are held from 9:30-11:00 PM one Wednesday each month
in the small chapel of the Spring Arbor Free Methodist Church and are open
to the SAU community.
